Convento do Carmo

Located in the charming district of Pelourinho, in Salvador, the Convento do Carmo began construction in 1586 by the First Order of Carmelite Friars and has been stage to many of Brazil`s historical events ever since. Today, after careful restoration and adaptation, the Convento do Carmo pioneers as Brazil`s first historical, luxury hotel and first international Pousada de Portugal, renowned Portuguese hotel chain.

In addition to its 2 function rooms with capacity for up to 80 people, the gardens, terrace areas and chapel provide a unique atmosphere for social events, cocktails and banquets, accommodating up to 300 people.
